Had another good treasure fleet find this morning. Only had an hour or 2 before the tide and wind drove me out, but managed this little bronze religous medallion. She's pretty wore out after 286 years in the sand, but there was enough left to make out st. Bendicti !! I can just see some poor castaway Spaniard clutching a rosary on a hurricane swept shoreline in 1733. One can imagine a hundred different ways it got in the sand and was lost, but today was finally its day of rescue...286 years later. Great little piece for the collection, and the first piece of jewelry in a long time.....I hope there's more to come. Thanks for looking and happy hunting out there !!

20190924_144859.webp woo hoo got another little piece of decorative bronze. A little florette piece !! This makes a half dozen or so of these pieces all with the same floret style.
