Brrrr, burrs, barrel, buttons, buckle

I hate, hate, hate these tiny burrs, can't seem to avoid them at this site. Tried clearing paths in the high weeds with a plywood barrel worked pretty well, but was exhausting .

Found a good amount of decent relics and early wheats.
The piece in the upper right is super ornate, anyone know what this is?

I've heard that dragging an old piece of carpet through the area collects them up - maybe you could wrap some around the barrel when you roll it out?

The steam roller is now painted in gloss black and there is a cable towing system that I engineered. A few hundred yards of 4' wide paths now on the hillside. With the knocked down heavy weeds you lose a critical 2-3" of depth so I was mostly pulling larger relics with my detector. A better detector and large coil could do some damage.
