Got out Monday with Freddy67 for about 3 hours on a really old site.
I got my closest thing to a complete shoe buckle, only missing the tongue. Plus 2 other old buckles or parts of. Don't understand how some people find so many complete shoe buckles, as the tiny iron pin is pretty fragile, and always rotted away ?

I got great signal high 80's-90 on my Omega, and I was sure it was going to be a silver coin, so turn on the camera, and sure enough it was a silver coin, and while I'm happy with any silver coin I was very disappointed that it was not the age of the buckles, or any other find from the site. (head scratch)

Still a great day in the out-of-doors. Hope to do it again real soon, as the humidity has finally dropped to tolerable levels.

Very nice Rick! The big one is nice but that little ornate one may be considerably older.

Congrats!!

That near complete one is about as complete as its gonna be. Great finds!

Cool finds! I like the buckles and congrats on the silver! HH

Oh, thanks everyone, and I guess I never mentioned the silver was a 1944.

Hey man glad to see you posting. I freakin love those really old buckles, wish I was able to dig them around here. That certainly must be a good spot to swing.

As for the silver quarter, I know how you feel. Oh well, finding any silver is better than finding none at all.

Nice buckles Rick. I like the one on the left. Very ornate.

Super happy to see you knock down a couple nice buckles buddy. That's pretty damn complete. I am always shocked at the complete ones. I have found a couple that I can easily move the chape around. It defies all logic my friend.

Glad to see you out there beating the bushes Rick. Congrats on the shoe buckle and the other smaller colonial buckle is a nice find too. I'm surprised you didn't come up with any buttons considering how many buckles and buckle parts you found.

Lol. Rick only hears signals that blow his earphones off! Jk

Waiting for Rick's response.....

Lol. Yep, I bet I'll get a phone call when he does. Which reminds me, I just remembered I needed to call him back. Lol, sorry buddy!!

Helluva guy that Rick!
