There is a debate that the ones with hearts on (yours is clearly plain) are CW period. However, I disagree, along with a few others & think these are post-1900.

I think that style is early 1900s, but the ones with the heart stamped on them are a different style alltogether--and some have been dug in CW camps. The heart ones were infamously misidentified as bedroll buckles in a reference book years ago.
