Buffalo Nickel 1936 "F"

I have a 1936 Buffalo Nickel that appears to have a stamped "F" below the 3 and 6 of the date. Any comments would be very helpful. Thank you

That is the designers initial, F for James Fraser.

Thank you Mr. Cutter. I'm glad Mr. Fraser's initials lasted these 78 years. I have a small collection of Buffalo Nickels and none have anything readable as this one does.. Thank you again

Yeah, that is a high wear area, not always visible. Great looking coin in that condition though!

Thank you - I agree it was one of my better discoveries - I have a small in home coin reclaim hobby / business and every once in a while I come across a collectable. Not being an avid collector I appreciate all the expertise this forum brings. Happy hunting to you.. Regards from VT..
