Its dry and hot here in SE Wyoming, although this is generally a bad thing there is an upside...found this bison skull in the nearly dry creek today! First one that I have found, thrilled to say the least. I am wondering if I'm dealing with an older species, it seems different from another skull my dad found a couple of years ago. Thoughts and expertise are much appreciated!

Looks like maybe a younger bison?

Its funny. The past two times I have gone to MT, I have found a buffalo eroding out of the bank. Once on the river and a few weeks ago way back into the badlands about 1/8 to 1/4 mile from the river.
