Seems to me that items from hundreds of years ago were built much better than in recent times and not only were they built to last but also built
with quality and in great detail from skilled craftsman. This Japanese bronze mirror from the mid 19th century is a prime example as the mirror
works the way it was meant to.....Mirror is facing the front room window and captured the neighbors house...

Well there was a time when people really thought that's how things should be made and consumers wanted. These days that just doesn't cut it, if you're planning to stay ahead and above water in the manufacturing industry. I've got old time mining customers who would tell me about how things in the past were made better. I agree with them, but your finance people don't want to buy the best anymore, but would rather have what's the cheapest and now that's all anyone is willing to make, because good and better cost to much and doesn't sell.
