Hey folks,

Spent a couple hours hitting curb strips today. Lots of targets but the only old coin was a 1950-S wheatie. The Canadian dime had me going, too bad it's a '75. Can't win them all!

You just never know what's in a curb strip unless you swing your coil over it. My only Franklin Half, a Walker, an SLQ, and my only 1700's silver (Spanish Real) came from curb strips. What coil were you using? I hit a curb strip on a corner lot with the fisher stock DD and pulled 50 coins, thought I cleaned it out. I went back a few months later playing around with the 5"DD and pulled 50 more coins. I find it amazing how many good targets can be masked by trash and have been using smaller coils since last season for better target separation.

This looks like what I hunt. I'm still sore from last weekends cellar hole hammering.

Just using the stock coil actually. I do have a smaller coil, I should try it sometime!

Hey tomorrow take it slow and go over the curb strips you already hit. I also ask that you hunt them in a different direction. If you hunted them long ways, then this time hunt them road to sidewalk. I am really curious to see what you will find. It took me 2.5 years to install my small coil.
