button experts please look

son must of dug this button last summer and lost it in the couch
i cleaned it up and was wondering if any one can tell me about it

That monogram looks like something from Finland. I think Norway has the same without the crown.

sorry this button has been cleaned as best i could
it's a two piece with the back gone
measures 3/4"

It's a 1900's blazer button. A couple ways to tell is by the blurry detail and the black paint in the low parts of the button. It had a tin back and either a tin shank or a self shank

Yep its a 20th century blazer button like Cru said. Its a civilian fashion design similar to this called Belgian Crest. http://www.zazzle.com/belgium_coat_of_arms_t_shirt-235453348794735846

I changed my mind. Although it has elements of the Belgian Crest I think it looks more like this blazer button with crest, crown & lions. These civilian blazer types often overlapped.
