Relic Hunting
The mister gets boxes of dug relics from a guy on Massachusetts and in the stuff he was sorting through was this shiny button. Can anyone tell me anything about it? It has NG on it which I'm assuming is National Gurad.

Correct on the National Guard, from Pennsylvania. (not just made there, but used there too)

According to my backmark book J.H. Wilson was in business from 1873 until 1907. Wilson had an Army contract on Sept.4th, 1879 that included 4,000 gross of coat buttons. That would be 576,000 buttons!
