Now that I know what to look for I can see Standard Colour Treble Gilt. Would this be a 1790 to 1815 button?

The mark suggests that it dates a bit after the Metal Button Act of 1796. Given that, and its one-piece construction, I'd guess that it's closer to c. 1815-35.
