Dug this button on a site that dates to the late 1700s. May be pewter or tombac material. I have dug many plain flat buttons on the site. This is the only one with any engraving on it. It has a plain back with no backmark. The eye is broken off. Any help would be much appreciated.

I believe I found it. Pretty cool. This is the only identifiable military button I have found on this site.

I don't mean to hijack your thread but, could this button I found be the same one?
