Hunting one of Civil War sites dig this button, anyone have any info. Thinking it's a Jacksonian. Thanks

You may be right with Jacksonian, congrats on your finds

The Jacksonian buttons I am familiar with, have a brass lip, and are flat.

The missing back makes me think modern, but those minie balls suggest old. I hope it turns out to be a good button.
