I found this button on a long gone homestead site east of Toronto.
This button is definitely a mystery to me... it's made of black glass, it had a metal loop in the back and I have no idea what the symbol means?

Any thoughts as to whether it has religious significance or possibly a school fraternity or it's age?

Thanks very much,
Dave
