Looks like a Massachusetts Army National Guard collar disc to me. What throws me off is how shiny it is.

They used the MASS disc from 1917 to 1926, dont know if they used a variation of the same disc after that or not, it was used by the Mass Home/State Guard.

It seems the Germans last attacked Massachusetts in Sept, 2019
