Hi
I could use some help.
I found this button metal detecting. It is a two piece, not a flat. It is larger than a quarter and is mad of thin brass. I see six long shaft arrows being clutched by the claw of a bird - presumably an Eagle. Has anyone ever seen one like this? My research turns up nothing.
Thanks!

Interesting how the little details around the rim are plainly visible but the center not so much...

Maybe a saw medallion. Here is one I dug recently shown next to a non dug item. Mine has a small post on it and is c20200831_163730.jpgirca 1840s.

When enlarged to the max, those thinks don't look like arrows.
They look like clean lines with no points or feathers.

Here are the details I see:

Spoken in my Elderly Curmudgeon voice: I've been wondering when somebody besides me would notice that the so-called arrows strangely have curved shafts. There is actually no raised emblem on this disc... just a type of brass corrosion/concretion which exhibits nearly-straight curved lines. That's something I've seen many times before this object showed up.

I guess sometimes it is like seeing faces in clouds...
