Button?

Once again, a friend who gets out way more than I do, found what appears to be a button. It's about the size of a dime with an image in relief on the front and a missing post or eye on the back. Thanks for the help everyone.

Maybe I have stared at it too long but it looks like a mouth and two cherries.
