What does the back look like? Is there a backmark? Your pictures are a tad out of focus and my old eyes can't quite make out what is on the front. But, it looks like a fancy civilian button to me. Oh yeah, welcome to the forums.

I have to agree with fyrffytr1, without pics of the back and clearer pics of the front it's a shot in the dark of what this button might be from.

To me, it looks to be relatively modern (20thc).
