Buttoned it Up Before the Deluge!

Weather forecast showed a rainfall warming in effect for this afternoon so Tony and I got out early to make the best of the morning. We went to one I my standby sites because the hay was cut last weekend so I knew we would at least have somewhere to hunt. We were surprised to see that half the field had been ploughed and disced which is the first time since I've started hunting this site that it's been ploughed! The farmer was in the area and told us that the field had been planted but told us to feel free to detect it regardless. Yes sir! I was amazed at the number of targets we dug but had to leave after a couple hours...too much rain! We did score permission for another site so it was a great day despite being rained out!

My best find was the decorated tombac but any one of those buttons could have been a military....definite potential!

I would think it was his photo...I have ones that would look the same in photos...maybe a flash causing the effect...

It's just the photo...I maximized the light to bring out the detail in the engraving. Definitely a tombac.
