gold-king-mine-historic.webpIt's great to meet all of my fellow treasure hunters and finally taking the five minutes and sighing up. Easy sigh up and thanks to the site owners for having me. Hoooooray.

I'm on vacation travelling through the Rockies, checking out all sorts of old deep rock mines.

There's gold in them thar hills.

If anyone wants to team up and locate some old mines in Eagle county, Co I will be looking till the end of August and would love a local guide. Also woke up in my tent this morning a brown bear was going through my pack sack. I scared him off, along with my pack sack. I found it later that morning. Guess I better string up my food instead of sleeping with it.

Welcome and Fyi you shouldn't be sleeping with bears......8-)

Welcome to Tnet.

Welcome to tnet.

in the late 1840's the govener of Georgia stood on the steps of the state capitol
and pointed with a walking stick at the surounding hills and proclaimed
'' thars still gold in them thar hill's '' trying to discourage the miners from
leaving for the goldfields of California, and thats where the saying started,
or so they say

Professor Whipple, great name. Welcome. A brown bear is worse than a coon when it comes to sniffing out a free meal.
