I went panning for gold in california and had a great time find gold, but driving through Nevada I saw some tailings way up in the mountains and decided to try my luck.

The rental car could get me all the way up so a little hiking was in order. All of the buildings were down and the mine was open. After checking all of the usual places with no luck, I tried to "think like a miner". I realized that first coming out of the mine the outhouse was probably a likely stop.

To my joy I found two small nuggets under the outhose floor.

You just never know, do you?!

By the way. My whites crapped out in California so I picked up a Tesoro silver max that I used to find the outhouse gold.

Beauty! I'd love to get out west someday and hunt for some gold.

I bet it's neat to find gold like that! Not much chance here in SE Texas.
Outhouse floor, cool. I guess those guys carried their gold with them everywhere...

:o :o :o Yes you get three WOW's, however it looks like you found a little more than two nuggets! Are you a member of the GPAA or LDMA?
Don't need to wish you HH....hehe

No, I amm not a member in either group, but I am looking into it.

I have a Travel Agency and I get a lot of people calling, interested in Treasure Hunting Travel Trips. I am thinking about specializing in this area.

We have our second California Gold group trip planned for this spring.

We also have a group of 50 people cruising some of the Carribean Islands, although less than half are treasure hunters.
