California TN weekend!

I propose a California panning weekend (or week) for all the wonderful folks of Treasure Net to get together. I suck at organizing so someone has to step up. I'll bring the beer. 4 kegs enough? Suggestions please!

Excuse my delay in response... Goldwasher I'm in on it with you a hundred percent, the weekend of April 5th and 6th sounds great to me and would love to attend the Icmj summit event for sure. Hope your wifey will forgive you! Holding the event early April will give plenty of time in advance for planning, heck maybe you and I could just plan the whole event? I would be up for it and happy to help with set up, clean up and everything in between. Brasseagle, very awesome of you and the land owner to provide the spot sounds like a great location and I'm sure everyone will be respectful, if for some reason it doesn't work out then I agree that Coloma, lotus area would be great too but private property would be best no doubt!
My thoughts are keep it simple, byob and byog (grub). I'm totally cool with kids being welcome and will be respectful, I'm sure there will be some smoke blowing and cracks hanging tho.. Porta potty great idea, maybe two. One for the guys and one for the gals depending on the the final guest list. Would be happy to chip in on that and whatever else.
Brasseagle I guess the next questions are, will the weekend of April 5th and 6th work for you and the land owner? And what's the maximum amount of us that you and or the land owner want to allow? Thanks.
Making a tradition of this would be cool and give everyone who can't make this time a chance next year.

Mcordell, Hangtown and Goldwasher I am good with April 5-6. I live in Orangevale and I can help with setup, teardown, odd errands or anything else that will make this happen. I have a portable PA setup, x2 size BBQ grill and Im in a small band that plays old miner songs, country and country rock like the Eagles, Charlie Daniels.... PM for my # when your ready

So, this is definitely getting good. Mojo I will be sending you a P.M. Brass eagle I want to try to meet up with you sometime week after next most likely Tuesday the 21st. Hangtown we will talk and start working stuff out as far as getting the spot ready. BYOB BYOG is good. But, if we want to do a Saturday BBQ sort of thing I can save money and get ribs, burgers ,chicken, etc. through work cheaper than any trip to Food for less or Costco. I'm The Head chef at a country club I do bbq's for 120 people all summer long we can feast for 15 bucks a person. we can firm things via P.M. closer to April if that's something we decide to do. Even If you have said your in on this thread shoot me a P.M. so I can start keeping a head count.

April would be ok with me. we have a large BQ that we all can use just bring gas. also a refrigerator in the snack shop. we have enough room for a large group, 80+ acres. All will be welcome, but the people from Orangevale. Just kidding I grew up in Orangevale. To all I talked to my friend about T shirts for the yet to be named ( we need to name it) TN NorCal Event as he has a silk screening setup and can make them for us. He is down with doing the printing at no cost but the T shirts must be purchased probably about $ 6.00 a piece for a quality shirt. I haven't checked with TNet about using their logo and I think we can design our own to stay away from any copyright stuff. I have my friend working on a design which would be something like TNet Nor Cal and the date and ? so any and all ideas are welcome and necessary. The shirts will probably be bought in one color to get a better price with lettering ( no graphics or pictures) in one color or possibly two or three.....I was thinking Gold shirts with Black lettering but I think everyone should put their ideas in and then we can tally it up. So..

What should we name the event?

How many shirts do you want?

What Size?

What color do you think best for the shirt?

What color lettering?

What should we put on the shirt?

Should we put a side pocket on it to hold a snuffer bottle?


I think this is going to be an annual event and this t shirt will obviously be a collector item someday.... PM if you are interested so we can get this rolling.
