Came back from DigStock with a ‘blob’. Started cleaning it and it has some writing on it. Been told it’s a bale seal. Trying to identify it.

What kind of property were you hunting at Digstock?
They give you a map of properties with locations of areas of interest. This one was on a farm that was about 1300 acres. Easy digging soil.

Those are oldies. Maybe you will be able to find a company or family that used the seal. I found one here in Canada in and English colonial site that was able to be identified to a family in England.
Trying to read more of the seal. Started researching and found myself down a ‘rabbit hole’ that I never knew existed! I need to go thru my other lead blobs I put off to the side.🤔

Nice work. I've always wondered what the finds were like at those events. Bale seals are cool, I'm in central NC and 99 percent of the bale seals I've found with markings are tied to local railroads, so that may be a place to start your research.
