Can anyone help me date this grease gun??

My dad found this and wanted to know how old it was any info would be appreciated!!


The first line of numbers on it are 280702, 244769,and 254138 and the second line is 272430 and 354129

A patent disagreement arose in 1938 with Lincoln(another manufacturer.) So it could predate that date. 20's or 30's suggested per web discussion anyway.

I remember them when I was a kid, and that goes back 70+ years.

That style has been around awhile.. This is my Ford Model T tool kit collection so it could date back to the teens or so.
