Found this piece in NW Ohio some years ago but it seems pretty far from home .I haven't found any like this since .But at any rate I sure could use some guidence .Certainly appreciated !

Thirty, what is the difference between Adena and Dickson?

I am sure someone can elaborate but, I believe they are in the same cluster of points.

I'm not an expert but generally Adena will predate Dickson. I do believe there is a lot of overlap and a lot of Woodland points that share characteristics of both. Dickson is sometimes refered to as more of an overlap with Hopewell whereas Adena would generally preceed the Hopewell.

I think Dickson Points have a tapered base that is squared off on the end, Adenas tend to rounded off

Hey thanks for your helping me put names with my pieces .Like I said I've had them for quite a while .Now when friends stop by I have actual names instead of ''cool ones'' ,''even cooler one ''and ''the coolest one '' .Again many thanks
