Can Anyone ID This Button For Me

I can't read this even with magnifier would like to get a date range so I can dream about what year coins I may find.

Like ticndig says it looks like a flat button. Perhaps late 1700s to early or mid 1800s.
You mentioned that you can't make out the lettering on the back?

Better. Pretty confident it says "ROBINSONS JONES & CO". I can't make out any other letters.

The other words may be "EXTRA RICH" which refers to the gold gilding on the button.

Pre-Civil War, I believe.

Richard Robinson was established in Attleboro, Massachusetts in 1813.

He went into partnership with William Henry Jones in 1828, operating as Robinsons, Jones & Company until 1834. After a couple of name changes, the business was taken over by D. Evans c.1848

I can see the Robinsons and Jones now great job on the ID
