Found it in the garden a year or so ago. Found in south central Arkansas in Cleveland county. Found three or so more that were as perfect as this one and I am guessing they were associated with a burial. No use or wear on any of the 2 or 3 others except a place on one that was hit with the disc. Very pretty flint. I have guessed it to be a Hardin but would like another opinion or two. It is 3.25 long and 1.75 inches wide. Thanks...d2 005.webp

Looks like a 357 magnum. Ok I will try to behave. Beautiful point.

That is beautiful material. The barbs don't really say Hardin to me, but just a nice stemmed point that anybody would be proud to find.

That could be a Kings (late Archaic) or a Edgewood ( Transitional Archaic to early Woodland). A good site for you would be projectilepoints.net you will be able to look at points and read about them an make a better call. Great find:thumbsup:

Nice find. Also, I really like the fact that you used a bullet in your picture for a size reference! Lol

I did forget to mention that it is .357 for a size reference. Thanks for the info...d2

I wouldn't worry about a burial, it doesn't look like a ceremonial relic to me. You could have a decent site in the garden if you've found a couple of others in the area.

great looking piece very nicely made

I'm not worried about it being associated with a burial if it was 'cause that is where we plant the watermelons. The other points are not the same type but I will get them out and post a picture of them later today, thanks...d2

I sent the picture and description to the website that monsterrack suggested and they identified it as a Kirk Corner Notch point. Thanks for the info and I will post a picture in a few of the others that came from the garden...d2
