Can T-net members help get these medals back to the family?

[NOLA_Ken]

I am as always amazed by the effort and expertise of the members here. Thank you all for taking your time to look into this because I really would have no idea how to even start such a search. I really hope the medals are returned to the family if possible. A heroes memory should never be forgotten.

Any of you guys got a facebook account?

I called the National Cemetary in Bushnell, Fla. They have no record of the wife presently being buried there. They are, however, checking to see if she was once buried there then disinterned to another cemetary; perhaps to be next to her husband. BTW, a rep of the NC inBushnell did a nationwide check of National Cemetaries for the wife's name and found no entry.

A little update...spoke with Mike, VFW Post Commander this afternoon. He's been getting feedback but nothing to pinpoint to family members. I mentioned of Jeep's email to him of what we found so far. He said to tell everyone here "thank you" for the all the help we're doing.

In the meantime, I received an email from Find A Grave contributor (Linda) of the Saez-Ramirez's memorial. She's heading to Fort Benning to get photos of the actual graves and heading to the library to search the obits. Once we get the obits, then we can get the names of the children or other survivors and take it from there.

Sounds good, Wish I knew about this when I was down in Benning a couple months ago.

You guys/gals are the greatest !

I am proud to be your fellow American.

What you are doing for a fallen soldier and his family means so much.
I just cant explain it through my tears.

God bless all of you.

Thanks to Linda, we now have headstone photos & obituary. With the names listed in obit, hopefully, we can locate more of his relatives.

You are all amazing! I really hope this works out well, and that the family can have their fathers medals returned!

[Mzjavert]

Giving this a bump up. Amazing story.

[Mackaydon]

I'm about three years behind her trail. She did live in Dawsonville then was reported to have remarried and moved.
Her previous employer's HR manager (in Gainsville) is calling the "In case of emergency" numbers--and will get back to me.
Felinepeachy, I did try the number on this site: http://www.healthgrades.com/provider/allison-perry-xhw4y/
and she no longer works there either. Also, the last two numbers on that long list you gave me bore no fruit (old work #s).

[Felinepeachy]

If she is an LPN just contact the state licensing board
And find out where she is currently employed. It
should be public record

[Mackaydon]

I tried two other numbers you provided (ending in 2674 and 0137); both are disconnected. The search continues........
