Hey everyone:

Another mystery Item has passed beneath my coil? I could use some help with a positive ID.

This metal container in the shape of a crowned capped soda, pop, beer bottle etc......... measures 2 - 5/8 inches. The bottom has "pat. applied for" stamped on it. Whatever this container once contained is still within, as it can be heard rattling if you shake it slightly. The contents fits rather snugly, feels heavy and has a metallic sound. Due to the poor condition of this item, opening the container is out of the question, without destroying it altogether. Many thanks to anyone who can assist me in this matter.

It's a miniature dice container. I've had 2 of them in the shop, and both sold so I can't post a pic. Maybe someone can find a pic on the Internet, but the metal ones are fairly rare. Hopefully you can soak the bottle in some WD-40, and eventually open it. It should unscrew from the middle.

The websites I've posted shows mini dice in an ivory bottle & wooden bottles, but same principle.

I think the only way you're going to know for sure whether it is a lighter or a mini dice container is to soak it over night in WD-40, then open it. ;D Breezie

Im assuming its the exact size and shape with the pat. applied for on the bottom its most likely the lighter.

Yes, it is the lighter. If I'm remembering correctly, the metal dice bottles didn't have patent pending on the bottom; actually, I think they were made in France. Nice id Ken!
