Canada Copper & Buckles

Hi All,
I decided to check a new site, another rocky beach in a protected cove.
sure enough, another old boatyard discovered :hello2:

I think there were boatyards everywhere on this coastline at one time or another.
lots of items on or near surface (equals unsearched :icon_sunny:

)
The 1883 copper has hairs from the clump of mussels that held it :tongue3:

Couple of old buckles, have a match for the flat one, dug that a few miles away and a few months back :icon_scratch:

I imagine a local shoemaker had a stock of them & I happened to get a pair from two different customers.
My ugliest pewter button yet

Navy style button (I remember seeing the same one posted a few weeks back)
.61 caliber ball (been a while since I got one :hello2:

)
some odd tool, the brass item 'Made in Belgium' the holes go through the blade,
definite whatsit material :dontknow:

And Brass ship spikes, (everywhere)
Thanks for looking & HH to All! :thumbsup:

Very nice finds Herbie! :icon_thumright:

Great looking "floral" buckle!

That Canadian LC looks like me most mornings . . .
crusty, with only a couple of hairs left on my head! :laughing7:

Just like me Herbie, no gloves, no glory. Those are some diggin hands. Gloves just get in the way don't they?

Sweet finds to buddy.

Ha,
I didn't mean to frighten anyone with those mitts

I've tried digging with 3 different types of gloves, they seem to put the brakes on recovery speed, I only use them when it's under 20 degrees :laughing7:

Hoping those temps are past, 60 forecast for this weekend.
I can live without fingerprints
