Hello all,
Cleaning out a storage space, we discovered an interesting find. It looked like a regular, brass, home decor candle stick that someone must’ve used for a dinner table or simply on display somewhere, but it had a secret come with it. As you can see in the photos, there was an undated description posted to the bottom of the candle stick holder reading “Holy Gum Holder’ An original. Candles that the Pope had. This was returned from the Vatican because of some gum left on the upper portion of this masterpiece. It’s the Pope’s gum!”
Yes, very strange indeed, but there is really no way to authenticate that it is true. Any thoughts or ideas or general comments are appreciated. Even better if someone has heard about this piece! Does this make it valuable? Did the original authenticator just make it up? Who knows! Maybe its between a Pope and God!
