Welcome. It could be. Try to get the diameter. There are charts here on the site for American Civil War cannon balls, this could also be Mexican. Or French.

It is 11-1/2" around using a Cloth Tape.
 
My buddy found one here in Bell County and I took it to a local museum . They said it was real
