Can't find them buy them?

OK I finally broke down and bought my first rocks. Since I couldn't find any in Fl I had to do something to fix the itch. I had said I would never do this but never say never. In deciding what to buy I decided to stay with my home state of Ar so they would match the rest of what I have. The first three are suppost to be from the cherry valley minds in crossett county AR. It was owned and researched by a Mr. clement. The forth one was just to cheap and I felt like it had fell through the cracks. The fifth picture I bought for the point in the bottom right pic and the sixth the center piece. The last one is also from the mounds I did not have one like this. If you guys could help me id these that would be great if needed I have singles of the number 5 and 6 photos.

I enjoy seeing the artifacts bought and found equally. Someone had to find them at one time or another. I’m glad you shared your purchased finds. I can see part my future collection being purchased. Local Paleo, Dovetail, and Decatur are pieces I’d happily purchase for my local collection. It’s equally rewarding that someone has interest in owning pieces I’ve found. Thanks for the post.

It was just so out of character for you John that I think a lot of us were stunned by the comment. Look I swear I was just messing around. I am a construction worker, and we have a little different vocabulary than some.. When typed it sounds and looks terrible. I really didn't mean it like it came out. I have no problem with you buying points. I just mi staked you for a buddy of mine, and that's how we talk to each other. Sorry I offended you really didn't mean too . Those of you who know me , it is out of character for me to lash out at someone. It was just meant as a joke..... That's all JOHN

I have never understood the hostility from some towards people who buy artifacts, especially from guys who sell them on ebay. I found over 200 artifacts last month and bought 20...Am I a Pu$$y for buying those? Is it in the forum rules that you can't post acquisitions? No... I say mind your own business and STFU about what other people do with their own money.

Exactly Ryan. I have found some killers pieces this year and I have also bought a few nice ones and had a few very nice pieces sent to me in trade. I am really shocked that that statement came from a Moderator of the site unless someone somehow hijcked his password and posted that. That just doesn't seem like something John would say.

My take on all of this is, it was a joke that went bad. He was ribbing you Rockiologist and apparently it was taken out of context. I am not defending the pussy statement, i'm just saying that it was a joke and I don't think John(flintfinder) meant any ill will towards it. He was just trying to get a laugh. I do agree as a moderator comes more responsibility unless he was just trying to commit moderator suicide as he is sick of that positionWho knows brush it off and you sound like you could use a little help in your hunting there Rock............PM your city to me and i will help you locate some hunting grounds, yes from NJ!!! Google Earth worls wonders for me and i'm sure it will work for you!!...............................GTP

I figured there was a reasonable explanation so thanks for letting us know. I have seen your posts on here for a few years and I knew it wasn't normal for you to say something like that. We all make mistakes, but atoning for them is what makes us better people. I have no problem with you and accept your explanation and I think everyone else should too and just move on. Thanks John.

Well...if you read his post he said he thought it was a buddy of his...cut him some slack! Me and my buds talk to each other like that ALL the time and have a great time. It was a simple mistake that he apologized for....what do you want...blood?

I believe he thought it was someone else one of his buddies. I am sure he will apologize

I got slammed with work this year and have had to deal with some new land tracts so my hunting suffered. I always said I would never buy anything either cause I usually find a lot but I was going nuts not being able to hunt. I umm got on e-bay and got my arse burned on a few and got a few killers like you did Rock. Try to make the pictures bigger and re-post them.
Everybody enjoys seeing mail box finds. It's all good. I agree with Get The Point also on Google earth. I have found many sites zooming around.

John It is all good if i had thought it was one of my buddies I prob would have said worse.
