Can't find them buy them?

OK I finally broke down and bought my first rocks. Since I couldn't find any in Fl I had to do something to fix the itch. I had said I would never do this but never say never. In deciding what to buy I decided to stay with my home state of Ar so they would match the rest of what I have. The first three are suppost to be from the cherry valley minds in crossett county AR. It was owned and researched by a Mr. clement. The forth one was just to cheap and I felt like it had fell through the cracks. The fifth picture I bought for the point in the bottom right pic and the sixth the center piece. The last one is also from the mounds I did not have one like this. If you guys could help me id these that would be great if needed I have singles of the number 5 and 6 photos.

Guess so. I would have never expected that on here guess you really don't know anymore though. I see mail box finds on here all the time and have never seen a replie like that.

there is nothing wrong with buying points for your collection,i buy them to fill voids on point types and also fill my bifurcate frames, looks like you got some nice ones

Can't say I blame you buying some. Even I have trouble finding points here in FL & I have been hunting seriously for 3 years. NC I could just walk to the next field & come home with a handful.. Aint nothin' wrong with mail box finds..
They look like nice lil points there..

btw, 250 res is a good size.

You bought some of them from a friend of mine. Terry from West Tennessee will never do you wrong. Nothing wrong with buying if your in a relic poor area.

Yes his stuff seems to be good and he is real good at working with you also.
As far as a blanket I dont need one just thought there was a little class on here unlike other forums. Just a little shocked to see something like that thats all.

There is nothing wrong with buying what you need for your collection. I've seen some nice pieces I'd have bought if the opportunity presents itself and if I had the money to do so. I've sold many pieces to collectors and they were happy to get them.

Well after moving out of AR and to Florida, I can see where you'd be frustrated looking for artifacts. You're better looking for seashells or fossils there I guess.
But I know there's quite a few people who buy and sell them that are members here, so I guess I just don't get a couple of the replies to you. But maybe it's an inside joke, I don't know.

I have never understood the hostility from some towards people who buy artifacts, especially from guys who sell them on ebay. I found over 200 artifacts last month and bought 20...Am I a Pu$$y for buying those? Is it in the forum rules that you can't post acquisitions? No... I say mind your own business and STFU about what other people do with their own money.

Exactly Ryan. I have found some killers pieces this year and I have also bought a few nice ones and had a few very nice pieces sent to me in trade. I am really shocked that that statement came from a Moderator of the site unless someone somehow hijcked his password and posted that. That just doesn't seem like something John would say.

Right on! I found two and a half pick up loads this summer and had not found but one in three months so I had to to get a fix somehow. lol

I agree that seems out of character for him to say or any moderator to say. If his account was hijacked or there's an inside joke I'm unaware of I retract what I've posted in this thread, if not, I stand by what I've said.


BTW, those are some good looking additions rock, I'd help you out on the typology but I'm not real familiar with that area.

Nice Points! you know being from ohio theres alot of artifacts to be found. and I enjoy finding them. I dont
see anything wrong with buying artifacts. about 3 months ago I bought a big roller pestle that I couldnt
pass up. The main thing is if you are happy with them thats all that matters. its your money spend it on
what ever you want .
