Carson city hunting sites?

Hello,

I’m on a big road trip, and will be Carson city camping w my lady and she gave me some time today to swing my detector between bishop CA and Carson city (where we will camp)

I know people don’t want to give away awesome locals, especially on the internet, but any advice would be awesome.

I’ve been digging lots of belt and other buckles on this road trip for some reason. No silver yet, or gold

If you are near Bridgeport CA, on your way to Carson City. There are many old mine sites and old gold mining towns in the surrounding area. Bodie is near there. No metal detecting there... it's a State Park... On the turn-off to Bodie, right across the Hwy is Dog Town. Walker River. I've sluiced there and got flower placer. Find a large rock and dig. Love that area...
