Carved civil war bullet I know it's a confederate enfield but what was it carved into

Dug a carved enfield today it has a H carved on the top a dimple on the side and weird cut or carve on the side of the base and it has a 5 spoke wheel on the inner base can anyone please give any kind of information on to what it might of been used for? nipple protector is only thing I can think of
 

yep nipple protecter to cover the musket nipple for a cap and ball type rifle
 

I can tell you right now it isnt no where near a nipple protector
 

I don't know but I like it. Nice carved piece. My guess is it probably didn't have any purpose. Maybe just a widdled on bullet to pass some bordom? Nice find
