Carved wad cutters?

I found these within 5 ft of each other in the middle of a field where a Boy Scout camp was located during the 40s and 50s. First thing I thought of was carved for game pieces. Or just shot and deformed by targets?



The one on the left looks like it was filed that way.

The one on the left could have been split to make a fishing sinker!
