Very cool for sure , I think my oldest spill was maybe 1890s it it was pretty meager.

[CladMagnet]

WOW!!! SWEET!!

[joeyfresh]

The reales look good considering they were in the same hole with the coppers. Great finds!

[Evolution]

Wow! Awesome finds there. I have dreams about finds like that on occasion.

[ironhorse]

Some detectorists never find that many old coins in a season, let alone in a single hole, wow man, that's awesome!

[Don Chiasson]

love all the finds, but i honestly think the counterweight is my fav. just dont see those much!

Agree...could br from the Plymouth pilgrim colony!

[Don Chiasson]

Great coin spill! Good condition considering they were in salty mud.
Did you also dig a few steamers from the muck for dinner? That would be my kind of a hunt! Coins and clams!

Nah, steamers out of that mud are very bad, I think the mud is even killing em....lol

Only the counterweight was in the mud... The coins 12 in all were not near any water. I let my buddie dig the hole a bit more after I pulled 10 coins, and he pulled another large cent and another reale (smaller than both others). Best day so far......... ;-)

[Don Chiasson]

I just want to apologize.. This find was already posted in "today's finds" , I thought I was posting in my best finds... So this post was added to my best finds later.
