I've been in a monsoon, can't ever remember so much rain. Between the holidays and my fields being lakes or mud holes, I have not been detecting as much. I updated my XP Deus yesterday and tweaked my program a little bit. I also made another program to hit some of my monster iron patches that I have in a couple of my fields. That program I basically turned down my sensitivity from 95 to 89. I went to my one field I fondly call "the hayfield" that this year was harvested in soybean. About five minutes into it I found this cool aluminum token for Cat's Paw rubber heel company established in 1904. When I first pulled this out of the dirt I thought I had a big Real (I always see things that I want to see when I'm first knocking off the dirt) it went from a 8 Real to a silver dollar in a split second before I realized I had an aluminum token in my hand. I'm going to post a link about "What happened to Cat's Paw Heel Co."
Enjoy the pix HH & GL

I also found this tin with a EP Co. monogram on it. Any help on an ID for that or any addition information on the token is more than welcome, thanks in advance.

I also found a crusty flat button, I spent about 3 hours there and hit a new spot for about an hour before going to the hayfield. I only came up with an interesting iron relic there?

Thank you

The iron object looks like it could be a stirrup. Gary
That was my first thought, then noticed it seemed too wide for that, maybe for a stagecoach or buggy?

Awesome Token, the jar lid with the monogram is a Ponds cold cream lid. Cheers, Sub 8-)

treblehunter,
You may opt to submit pics of your token to the same source I referenced above--for a clearer pic of the token; and get proper credit for your contribution.
Don.....
Thank you,
I tried this morning, I thought I had submitted tokens in the past, but I could not remember my password. I'll have to mess with it later when I get time.

Great hunt I would carry that token with you this year for good luck. Hope you have a great 2019 my friend Tommy

Thanks Tommy, I don't believe in good luck charms, I believe in hard work, perseverance and my Lord Jesus Christ. Those advertising tokens in the early 1900's had a lot of good luck charms. One of my early finds in a buddies front yard was an advertising token that had a swastika on it. I never knew until I found that token, that a swastika was used before the Nazis as a good luck symbol, American Indians also used a swastika as a good luck charm. (or something like that, lol)
