To all who've have used a cell phone for video/audio capture of your hunts.

I'd appreciate your feedback on a cell phone you'd recommend.

I'm considering an LG4 android, which does support a microSD card.
I'll be using the cell phone in native mode, not connected to any phone service.

Thanks for your feedback!!

i have the samsung galaxy s5 active. i love this phone can be dropped put under water and very durable in my opinion. i have taken videos under water answered phone calls in the water and work in a very dirty enviroment and has withstood everything ive done with it. ive even just thrown the phone from one room to the other just to show people how durable it is. hope this helps.

I agree with 75matador: the camera function on both the s5 and s6 is amazing. I've had 2 other android smart phones prior to this, and they each took a bunch of effort to get macro-shots, etc.... Whereas the s5 and s6 has some sort of built-in sensor, that immediately focuses on odd-ball stuff. Like: The interior inscriptions inside of rings (whereas other phones try to focus on the exterior of the ring, and blur the inscription). Absolutely great camera.

If you are using a phone for a camera only, why not just use a camera?

Hey G.I.B. Heard it from a few people that smart phones are a good option over a camera or digital camcorder. I'm sure you could get similar results with a camera. One upside to using a phone are the communication and application aspects.

looks like S5 came out a year prior to the LG4 and they are very comparable. your experience with the S5 is compelling. thanks.

Thanks for the insight into the S5's autofocus feature.
