Been staying out of the woods lately because the Deer ticks have been the worst i have ever seen! One little walk into the woods and you will have 30 on you!!Was walking the dog and noticed a crude cellar on the side of a main path..I just had to go back and check it out.Glad i did ended up grabbing a few goodies..

1796 Liberty Cap cent..I cleaned the heck out of it:dontknow:

Some cool buttons including a drilled shank one..

1851 largie far from the Cellar..

And a cool iron tool was this for wood, stone??

Have fun out there:hello:

~Blaze

Nice digs. That iron thing looks like a wedge or a shim that might be part of an undercarriage of some sort. :icon_scratch:

being at one with nature_______________& diggin' some SUPER goodies :icon_thumleft::icon_thumright:

Hey Blaze, that's a really nice hunt bro. I wasn't expecting to see a liberty cap in a "few goodies". Congrats on that unexpected hole!

I am glad I live a little farther north, we are only plagued by ticks from early May till Mid July, then they seem to disappear, although I have seen the very odd one later. ICK.

Congrats on the liberty cap copper, my oldest US LC is 1798, hoping for a '93, yeah I dream BIG, and it's Sweet.

Is that hole in the ground a semi covered well or a secret tunnel ? COOL !

Great hunt, and well worth the tick risk! Always love the coins, but I was drawn to the button with the starburst pattern. Really nice. The iron piece, although not very wide, looks like a wood or possibly even a stone splitter.

Nice diggings my man! Right off the main path? Them boys in Connecticut have to hike miles to get to a cellar :dontknow:

Damn bro sweet job and I thought I had a good week, that's great!!

Congratualtions on the killer relic and coin hunt! :occasion14:

The Cap Liberty copper is one of my favorite type coins!

Nice work buddy, "a few goodies" I would have titled it Wow I found a Capped Bust!
Congrats!

Nice finds Blaze, I'd be on cloud 9 if I dug those 2 coins and the buttons.

congrats on the finds AND the cellar. was out today in the woods today and no ticks here in southeastern Virginia, thankfully. they were really bad when i lived in south texas. hate that place. congrats on the finds!
