Hello all..

yesterday got my second Celtic coin ever :o this time a Silver Fractional Unit. Boar/Horse type (disjointed) :icon_study: this is from the same time period as the Celtic Gold coin I found last month :o over two thousand years in the ground :o :o the day turned up some outher nice finds from different periods of British History :icon_study: anyway have a look
at the pictures, the Celtic coins not in the best condition but I can't grumble after all it's been rolling around in the ground for a long time ::) :thumbsup: SS.

Fragment of Anglo Saxon Cruciform Brooch (400AD-600AD)

Medieval Hammered Coins (Edward1 penny 1272-1307, Henry111 cut half penny 1247-72)

Medieval Dogs Head Dagger Pomell.

Bronze Key (possibly Roman)

I think I have had the picture size to large :'( I'V shrunk them as much as I could ::)

(Gold & Silver, what more can you ask) Looks like its going to be one of those special years :thumbsup:

Nice 13th century knife terminal, not seen that type.

My XP is just magic, we are already just 2 off last years complete hammered total & on our worst land at the worst time of year. This will be our best year ever for sure :icon_sunny:

I guess I meant, not got that type (I have a few), must have glaced at it in the book at some point.

Saxon Penny/or sceat is top of mine as well (this year)

Please post pictures of both sides. as you said its the same date range as the other ca 45-10BC.
Is it about 15mm?
The closest I could find in Van Arsdell is VA877-1. However, the horse is a little different, so it would be nice to see the boar? Interestingly yours doesn't look like it has a pellet below the horses tail, thought to be a privy mark denoting date or issue.

Yes...it is about 15mm, thought it was a hammered when I found it ::) will try to get you better pic tonight, it does look a little different to the one in spinks :icon_study:
