Change of pace

To be a smart food shopper you need to look for specials and do the coupon thing. I don't food shop because if I want something I just buy it. I have no idea if it's a good deal or not. My wife will collect coupons and watch for specials. Sometimes it's a real deal. She just came home with a rack of ribs that were buy one get two free. She keeps an eye open for stuff we like but is often pricy like king crab. They will go on sale at half price.
Other things too like oil change specials, paint etc. Guys are sometimes unwilling to present a coupon for some reason. Maybe they feel proud and can afford to pay full tilt.
Most guys aren't smart shoppers and often only want to shop at places they have an interest in. Tools, guns, fishing, sports are fun shopping places and all the other stores are for the girls.

I go along with, you got to shop around. I just bought a bag of potatoes, and a bag of onions for .99 each. Yes I have noticed the rise, but then I am mostly a BJ shopper. Frank...

Wait until a loaf of bread is 10 bucks if not more.

Anyone else notice some prices?

Bought some bacon 6.99$ per pound WTF Peaches 2.49 each. some apples 1.09 each. I thought Illegals were hired at $2.00 per hour?(Just kidding)

Any additions?

YES. Our local grocery chain, H.E.B. went up across the board. Everything went up. I was stunned. What caused it?

Sorry Frank couldn't help it. A BJ shopper? Sounds like something Clinton DID:laughing7:

I hear the illegals are Unionizing lol. Plus the stores are just accomodating the folks who dont have to file taxes, they get and cetain exempt members of the govt dont have to buy into Obama care. They get theirs free from us already. So the stores are just getting their fare share. I personally let the over priced garbage set on the shelf and rot. Im type II diabetes and count carbs. Im not really missing much.

I normally don't do the shopping, but my wife does. She usually comments about the bags getting smaller, and the receipt getting larger... I have noticed the cost of coffee, meat, fruit and veggies going up, If I was unmarried w/out children, I would be able to live off my land, I raise catfish, bluegill, chickens, garden, fruit and nut trees, etc...but, the wife and kids only care for the store-bought stuff, so I don't save a lot on the grocery bill.
