Charlotte Gold Prospecting

If anyone knows of land that's available for public access near Charlotte, NC would you please let me know. Perhaps something like Rocky River where you can access from the road.

Also, if someone has land I can pay to play on and prospect with a Sleuce box I would also be grateful.

I live north of Columbia, SC. I was planning on driving to the charlotte area to prospect under overpasses. If I remember correctly, NC has the same 20 foot right-of-way that SC does.

There was a pay to play area in Gastonia, they advertised on craigslist. Also uwharrie is within an hour.
