Check out this Token and Spur that I found!

I got permission to hunt a few old homesteads near my place, one was back in the woods a ways, here I found the old well- boy was that spooky, wide open and 30-35 feet straight down. If someone fell in there you would never get out no matter how loud you screamed. All I found around the well was an old Whisky flask and tin cans. After a few hours I went down the road and into a field where another homestead used to be. Here I found this token among other things. It's a 1920's Palmolive Peet/Crystal White soap token. I also found this spur, (I believe a more modern, clip-on spur missing the rowl, but I could be wrong.)

None that I saw..it was filling with ground water as I took the pic.

the well would be pretty spooky left open like that...surprised it did not have any covering on it. Very cool token and spur though!

Yes, I did. He says that he's going to put a Rock on top of it with his tractor. It's in a pretty remote area, so it should be ok until he does that.

I found the same token just the other day in the yard of a homestead from the late 1800's. Thanks for sharing!

Spur similar to english style that slides onto the boot between the heel and where the body of the boot is turned over for stitching...some are made with a knob only (no rowel)...

Most cool on the finds and the well. There is a well by where I deer hunt it was full of Brown spider and webs, so I ran like a wittle girl. Visions of a bad horror movie when you see an old one. God Bless Huntn

theres a well like that out in the woods up here where i live, I was thinking on getting a hard drive magnet and try fishing it, just to see if anything sticks.
