Check this post out!!!Unbelievable

If you would have looked into it more, You would see one of the quarters is a 32-D. In pretty good shape as well. That's one of the key dates for the washington quarters.

Didn't see that, but is it worth that much?

Redbook value in F-12 is $190. So yes. Look into things a tad bit more before you go posting on a guess... Education is power.

That's the great thing about ebay, it lets you know the current value of an item ... if someone is willing to pay a certain price for something, then that is by definition what the item is worth.

If you've got time to CRH you have time to read the Redbook. It has really helped me in my CRHing. It also keeps you from saying silly stuff on the computer.

Or check out the site http://www.pcgs.com/prices/ without having to buy a book. Keep in mind that those prices are for professionally graded coins so some of the prices are quite a bit higher than what your loose coins are worth, but it gives you a great idea of which dates for each coin type are the key dates to keep an eye out for. Plus since our CRH is (mainly) limited to the modern coins, you can get the key dates memorized pretty quickly.....and soon whenever you hear "1916d" you'll start drooling immediately!

It also has a 1927-S SLQ which is also a key date.

A gorgeous one at that. IMO, this lot sold for less than its true value.

I agree, I usually don't search eBay for US coins because from my experience they cost way more than at my coin dealer, but from the looks of this lot, it looks like there are profits to be made in it.

I kind of wonder why when some one makes a mistake like my silly post why some people have to be so rude about it.Last time I checked I don't have a degree in coin collecting,I'm pretty sure some of you who have been rude and critical don't either.Last time I checked this was supposed to be a fun hobby and this was a fun forum to be on.So when someone like myself who is not as knowledgable as yourself and some others who have been rude see a post like mine just ignore it or just don't comment if you don't have something nice to say.

This is the problem with the written word. There is no inflection or dramatic pauses. I'm sure no ill will was meant by any of the responders, yet the initial poster feels as if the responeses were rude.

Let's all relax and enjoy our hobby :icon_sunny:

From a quick inspection of the 32D I would say its fake. Notice all the buildup around it while the rest of the coin is clean. This is an altered coin.

tmjones, please accept my apologies. No harm was intended. Now go get a Redbook and start reading. I'm a beginner myself, but as you'll see here quite often,"read until your eyes bleed".

Apology accepted my friend..sorry I lashed out also.I enjoy this hobby way too much to get mad at another fellow crh"r.We are all in this thing together...It's us and then theres them..have a great day and HH.

1932-d is a key date, the person bidding most likely paid that amount for the 32d alone, and the 3 other quarters were a bonus.

I'm glad to see that everyone apologized and got back to being friendly.
Happy Holidays everyone. Now it's time for my cigar and glass of fine wine.

Hence my username "Usandthem". ;D

How exactly was I rude? I am encouraging you to learn more about coins. Some of us on here care more about the history behind them than the silver. I have been collecting since I was a small child. If I came off as rude, I apoligize. Go buy you a redbook. They are cheap and Def. worth it, The 2013 should come out soon. :icon_thumright:
