Hi all,
Hope the weather is getting better for all of you..it is here (but so windy it can almost knock you over) I went back to that school where I found that 14K ring yesterday..I knew finding another one was asking too much, but I did find a few neat items.
First, some of you know I love old toy cars..this one was dug up last week in a neighbor's yard and I forgot to show it, so I'll take the opportunity now. The house I found it at was developed in the 1950's so I know it's an oldie..a Midgetoy car from Rockford, Illinois..with the exception of rusted axles and no wheels, the body has absolutely no corrosion, unlike the 60's Hot Wheel cars and 50's Tootsietoy vehicles I've dug over the years.
Anyway back to the school..besides the usual clad which wasn't much today (so I'll spare you a pic) I found 3 bullet casings, all in the same hole. My Prizm read them as a pull tab
And for the nicest find, this was in the mud, still in the process of being buried..it had some makeup still inside, which gave a rather pungent aroma. I was thinking maybe it was gold, but no markings..very pretty though.
The weekend's almost here again, hope it's a good one for all of you
