China Ranch

Over this past weekend I took a road trip to do some research for a series of posts I hope to do soon here on TNET . These trips often lead me to out of the way ....... but very intersting places ! And so I thought I would post a few pics to give you a clue as to what I am up to . China Ranch is a working date farm and a true oasis in the middle of the desert . Driving down the winding canyon is half the fun and when you get there you will feel like you are home . Fresh baked date bread and cookies await those willing to go off the beaten path and don't forget to get a date shake ! they are fantastic ! Hoss

Good one Hoss,
I heard of China Ranch a few years ago and now that I have seen pictures it is definitely a place to check out the next time I am down that way.
We might be by in Sept. You up for a road trip?

I had heard about the China Ranch in profile of visiting, but haven't done. But, looking your awesome snapshots of China Ranch. I will really visit it.

You will not be disappointed David ! I could spend a week roaming around China Ranch ( perhaps soon ! ) . I have more pics coming , so stay tuned ! Thank you !

Hey Bro ! Whats going on ? Long time no-see ! Heck yeah ! I am always ready for road trip . Just give me about a months notice if you can , so I can put in for the time off . I have been doing a lot of pokeing around Carrara and finally figured it out ( I think ! ) . Even finally found the dag-gum fountain ( at last ! ) . Will give you more info if I can figure out how to do a PM . Say hi to Tam !

HD .... this is your kind of place . I thought about you when I was walking through the date groves . Birds , birds .... and MORE BIRDS ! When harvest time comes they " dress the trees " . Thats all I am going to say right now because I want to get some more pics that I think everyone will get a kick out of !

Just give me 5 minutes and some more time to find my passport and all I'll need is a shack to sleep in and I'll be there :laughing7:

. I can't wait for your next picture post, the weather here is rainy, but we need it, so I'll wait. Come the sun, I'll be out, got some good haunts lined up too, not as picturesque as yours HOSS, but close 8-)
