I bought this Chinese fan at a rummage sale over the weekend. It is 35 inches in length and 65 inches open. I know these type fans are pretty common, but I haven't seen any with the writing and makers mark, so I figured it was worth asking for some help.
if anyone can translate it and possibly give any info on age would be greatly appreiciate it.

Thanks, Bill

It's decorative, and not necessarily Chinese. I've seen similar items with Chinese lettering made in S. Korea, and the crane is a sacred bird in Korea. I can't tell you what age unfortunately, but during the Japanese occupation a lot of cultural items were stolen or destroyed. If it is Korean(just an IF) I'd say it was made sometime after 1950.
