Well, Burdie....Jinx #1 happened. I was all set to start out this coming Wed because I was stopping by to see my 2 brothers in the KCMO area. Well, have changed my launch date to this Friday instead. Reason #1......I had to Absentee Vote since I'm going to stay down in OK for a few weeks after the hunt. Decided it was going to be pushing the envelope to get back here by Nov 4th to vote. So....today I did my Constitutional right and duty..........I voted.

Second reason.......discovered that all of my medications would be running out by Oct 10th. Got so wrapped up in other things that I had forgotten to order my meds. Anyway, they will be in Wed or Thurs.

Third reason.........I will be taking Gayle to her doctor's appt. Her sister discovered that she has meetings tomorrow that she hadn't figured on. So....

Fourth reason.....oops, forgot to get the oil changed in the pickup like I was supposed to have don't 2 weeks ago....LOL

Bottom line.....will still be coming....but just had to adjust some things on my agenda.

C YA ALL SOON. And, Gypsy...still bringing the tub.

My X-Terra had to be sent in (under warranty) yesterday so I am hoping it gets back in time, otherwise I told Jr. he will be using the Discovery 3300 and I will be reclaiming my T2. He's not to thrilled about that.

WOO HOO! :headbang: I called Minelab yesterday and asked about my warranty work (I had been told that warranty work was 30 days behind) they said that it was fixed and shipped :o :icon_cheers:. Now that is service! Haven't told Jr. yet.

(They replaced the PCB board)

Getting close.A week from thursday I'll have to get things sorted out that I need to throw in the car.I'm in a motel, but anyone who is campin' it,I have twin size air mattresses w/battery pump if you want one or both to use.Got that 2000w inverter in the truck but since no one wants that scooter,I'll bring the little car.

One of you electronic gurus answer me this.I have a few cds but most of my music is on cassettes. This little play car I have now only has a cd player,do they make an adapter for a cd player to cassette? This is the first car that I couldn't get a combo player from the dealer and it sucks!

Where are you going to find a casette player in the first place?

Why don't you convert your cassettes into CD format?

I have over 300 cassettes. How much would you charge?Plus,I neglected so many of them this past yr that I have lost a couple of songs off of some from bleed through,so they would have to be monitored closely.

the cassette format is DEAD! :'( Sorry I didn't kill it! :-\

If you have cassettes you better get em switched over before you lose all your music. I do not have the necessary hardware to convert them over or I would do it for you.

They said vynal records were dead too,but they are coming back because the sound is better than cds.I have always stayed away from cds because one little scratch and that's the end of it.They do not appear to be durable at all.Plus, some ,many,of my tapes have over 30 songs which a cd will not hold.O well,my tapes and me will probably succomb at the same time anyway.A lot of my music was recorded from old records and I'm not sure if any of my family really wants my music.Lance does want some of it(old time country) but not really interested in the pop/classical of 20's,30's,40's,50's,60's.

Make the leap WSD  Digital is now the latest, no scratched CD's - but thats a diff story.
I've seen some pretty well scratched CD's that still play perfectly.

WSD~
You can purchase a cassette tape that fits in the player with a wire that plugs from the cassette to the CD player. This allows you to play the CD through your cassette player. My bro had one.

Wrong way.I have the cd player,I need something to go from the cd player to allow a cassette to be played. Thanks anyway.

You can get a li'l ol' cheapo cassette player at WalMart (probably). Look in those goofy bins they have in the middle of the store. Or in the Clearance aisle. I don't know that you'll be able to hook it up to the CD player (or speakers) but I've seen some li'l speaker thingies at the Dollar Store (or was it the Dollar aisle at the grocery store...)

I'll see what I can find around here.

Um. What kind of music from the 40s? ;-)

see you SOON!

I think I was dealing with your problem in reverse. It would seem you could acquire (on eBay), and old Walkman cassette player and then if your CD player has a head unit that supports a slave, you would probably be in business. You could then get a cable to play from it to your CD.

It could be though...that I really don't know what I am talking about.... ??? ::)
